Well...I am sad, it was a real bonding experience. I had a lot of fun, and there are things I will carry on using. RSS feeds being one of them. This picture is from Rajathan, my husband and I lived there for a year. My daughter was born in Jaipur. Camels and peacocks are just about everywhere. Camels will bite you, if you get too close to them. They blow bubbles and make a gurgling sound all the time. My kitchen counters are desert color granite from Rajasthan. Congratulations to all who finished 2.0 and for those of you who are still at it... keep going! Now as for what I suggest we do next... how about one carrying on doing one lesson every three months or so. This way we are informed and people who are interested will make time and keep going.

You Tube is fun. I can see how this would be used for libraries as well as for fun.

I did Zoho as well as google. I had a lot more fun with Zoho. I love their spreadsheets, and the documents are a lot more fun and clean. Goole Labs was interesting. I started creating my webpage. It is amazing how simple everthing really is. I am looking forward to finishing 2.0. I want to go back and spend more time with some of the things I did not spend as much time on.

I did the Wiki... it was over before it started. Hopefully it is really that easy. This is called Litchi. Super yummy... it has a crusty peel. You peel it and you get a soft white fruit that is juicy and sweet. It has a soft sort of taste. My favorite fruit. I buy cans of it at a Korean store, which is pretty good. You get this in the summer time. I have to eat at least a pound of it at one sitting.

This is called Rangoli. It can be very complex. I like this one... it is used to decorate homes. I was looking for a typical village home, but didn't come up with one. Del.icio.us looks interesting. After we are all done it will be good to look back and see what we use and what is useful. Right now I have so many different accounts going, I am not sure how much I am going to use del.icio.us.

Why do I post the pictures I do? I come from a farm so remote, it does not even show up on any map. This woman reminds me of the women of the villages near our farm. During harvest time they would come to work and my sister and I would follow them around. Yes, they dress pretty like this most days. One bus a day would go through the road near by, there was always room... for one more person. When I was in college I sometimes took the bus home on the weekends. The bus driver would stop at the farm even though it was not a offical bus stop. He would always make sure I had a seat. So in sharing these pictures I am sharing fond memories.

How's that for public transport. This is not as common a sight as it used to be. This is from 2006 so it still happens. Forget roller coasters and scary rides... if you want a thrill try a bus ride. As for learning 27 I have enjoyed setting up the RSS reader the most. It is very useful in having all the different sites at one place. Word of the day is turning out to be my favourite. I like browsing around and adding sites that interest me. I can see it being a useful tool if I had a subject that I needed daily input for.

The truck that I posted is used mostly to carry food and produce. Although when you are talking about India it is good not to make hard and fast assumptions... if you can imagine it, it is possible.

Well I have had fun with flickr. I was amazed at how vast their data is. I found out that you have to go to the properties to link or find out what the URL is. I was glad to have two scenarios to choose from. One I can do at work. Just being exposed to all these sites is a lot of fun, I am going to be going to flickr a lot more. The second lesson with the mashups was fun to play around with. It was over my head, I would have to spend time figuring out more on how mashups work.

This is such a common sight... and every single time it is just as scary. This truck is driving down the middle of a two lane road.These trucks sometimes carry twice as much load as they should. They are usually speed demons too. They do not stay in their lane and sometimes even drive going the wrong direction. Seeing one of these coming head on is not a sight for the faint of heart. They are pretty amazing... at the last minute they will swerve and switch to their lane. To counter this the govt. is putting in medians in all the roads some of them three feet high.They cannot stop... so everyone learns very quickly to move out of the way. When I was back in India last April, I had a good dose of this kind of driving.

Just for the curious of mind, Kahani is Hindi for story. Claire Ki Kahani would be The Story of Claire, or just Claire's Story. I am just back from the LTA meeting. We had a class on how to save on the new PC's. Some of the it we already knew. Some of the things we have been struggling with, for instance trying to save music from different sites is not a feature that we have. Lots of tips etc. All in all I am very happy that we will be having these meetings on a regular basis.

I am having fun with Learning 2.0. I am glad we are doing it as a system. I thought I was pretty familiar with a lot of it. I am finding out that doing something from scratch is a lot different than seeing someone else's... or checking my kids accounts. I am excited and looking forward to the rest.
